The support from his parents allowed him to expand this love as he grew up singing, with his earliest performances beginning in secondary school and Church. In his early years he was exposed to the likes of Fela Kuti, Ebenezer Obey, Bob Marley, along with various hip hop and country artists, creating a vast knowledge and appreciation for all genres of music. Career

On the 8th of July 2021, Àre as an independent artist released his debut single titled “Know the Road.” Undeniably soothing and melodic, it lays out a hustler’s serenade as he consciously acknowledges and prepares for the journey ahead. This single was followed up with the release of “To Ri Pe,” a conscious questioning of political class systems and the clear impact these systems have on the people they claim to lead.

Àre’s 2022 EP titled ‘In Time’ includes the above mentioned released singles as well as three additional songs, including the infectious “Nobody.”

Are’s “In Time” is the first expression of a persistent and intentional journey, a deeply personal time-capsule of creative becoming. In its attempt to capture our daily struggle with purpose, love, and the same sense of patriotism, it reveals our underbelly, and displays the mishaps of our leaders. You’ll find elements of Jazz, Afrobeat, Hip Hop, Reggae, Fuji, and RnB artistically expressed throughout the EP. Throughout this journey you will hear lines that ignite memories and evoke familiar experiences.
