The Nigerian Artist, Starry Ogbonna, discovered her love for music at the age of five while singing in the church choir and during family events. Her journey toward global music recognition finds its background in her fierce passion for music and her competitive spirit as she clinched the “Best/Most Talented Singer” award in the prestigious “Voice Of The Streets” competition.
In 2019, a serendipitous moment marked the inception of Starry’s music career. While working as a voice-over artist at a radio station, she spontaneously recorded a debut single titled “Baba” alongside the talented DJ Holoski, setting the stage for her meteoric rise in the music industry. Her journey continued to gain momentum when she uploaded her covers and original compositions on social media and music platforms to share her music with a global audience.
Her most recent project and debut EP; the Starry EP drops on the 10th of November 2023, and includes a blend of Afro sounds fused and well crafted to create a wholesome body of work. Starry collaborated with various creative minds and has put together and brought forth a 5 (five) track EP (Extended Play) namely LOVE- an Afro – alternative sound a more contemporary style; OGOLOGO- a proper afrobeats; MOVING- an Afro RnB sound; OMALICHA- an Afro amapiano style and PAMI (feat KODI V) in an Afropop pattern these combination and variety of sounds promises to keep the listeners enchanted, heads nodding and on their feet dancing.
