The Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) has confirmed that two of its substations in Adamawa State are presently out of service, following a heavy downpour that brought on flooding in these services.
A press release issued on Thursday by the corporate and made obtainable to DAILY POST, indicated that, areas affected by this unhappy growth have been Jimeta, Yola city and its environs.
The statement read,
“That is to tell you that Yola 132/33KV TCN Substation & Jambutu injection substation is out of service because of heavy rainfall this night that brought on flooding on the substations.
“The areas affected are Jimeta, Yola City & environs.”
YEDC famous that, technical groups have been deployed to watch the scenario, whereas assuring that, energy provide can be restored as quickly as scenario is below management.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this may need brought on”, YDEC pleaded.
