Tarkwa, Western Region — Tarkwa Fashion Week (TFAW) has grown to become one of the Western Region’s most celebrated fashion and creative events, showcasing the rich blend of Ghanaian style, talent, and innovation. Founded by Rex Model Agency in 2019, the event continues to serve as a powerful platform for designers, models, and fashion entrepreneurs across Ghana.
Since its inception, TFAW has evolved through several remarkable editions, each highlighting a unique theme and creative focus:
2019 – “The Beginning of Style Evolution”
The maiden edition was hosted at The Blues Lodge, Tarkwa, introducing a fresh wave of fashion talent and style creativity in the region. It marked the start of a movement dedicated to putting Tarkwa on Ghana’s fashion map.
2020 – “The Rise of Creative Identity”
Held at Hotel de Hilda, this edition celebrated resilience and innovation, spotlighting young designers and creatives defining their identities in a growing fashion scene.
2021 – “Beyond the Runway”
The event expanded at Longji International Hotel, blending fashion showcases with business discussions and exhibitions. This marked TFAW’s transformation into a cultural and entrepreneurial hub for creatives.
2022 – “Fashion Meets Music”
Returning to Longji, this vibrant edition combined the energy of fashion and live music performances, creating one of the most memorable shows in TFAW history. It reflected the unity of two powerful creative industries — style and sound.
2023–2024 – “The Creative Break”
TFAW took a short hiatus to restructure, rebrand, and strengthen partnerships. This period allowed the organizers to refine production quality and expand collaboration opportunities with industry stakeholders.
2025 – “The Rebirth of Style”
This year marks the grand comeback of Tarkwa Fashion Week — bigger, bolder, and more dynamic. The 2025 edition celebrates rebirth, innovation, and unity within Ghana’s fashion ecosystem, positioning Tarkwa as a growing fashion capital in the Western Region.
